Thursday Joe Baker celebrated the VA
rating decision by treating his family and local Veterans to a great
lunch at Libby’s restaurant in Goldsby. We finished Mr. Bakers claim for
service connection of injuries that that occurred while he was in the
military.
Our Veterans Corner group is able to
help most all of the men and women who stop by. Last week was the best
week ever with 12 of our local Veterans being rated at 100 %. These men
did not know that they were eligible to receive benefits for their
disabilities.
We continue to have more of the Gulf
war Veterans stop by with questions about benefits. Many of the Reserve
and National Guard members are not aware of the many programs that the
Veterans Administration has for them. Last week we helped a Veteran who
served in the Bosnian action.

We have men and women who will drive
our veterans to appointments at the OKC VA if needed. If you or someone

until 11:30 am at the American Legion located at 710 East Main and on
Thursday 7:30 am until 2:30pm Goldsby at the new community center.
