We returned from San Antonio
Sunday after a great time with some of the members of 3rd
Recon Battalion 3 Marine Division Viet Nam era. I was able to meet with these
Marines and Corpsman who gave so much to our country in its time of need.
Our staff did a very good job helping our local Veterans while we
were away last Wednesday and Thursday. They were able to process 30 plus
at Goldsby and 15 at Norman
and they tell us that they could have worked more if needed. We had
several more that were approved for the 100% rate again last week.
Libby’s restaurant continues to serve our local Veterans a
great lunch each Thursday at 11 am.
We continue to see more Veterans each week with the number of volunteers
increasing also. Maybe we could help you to receive the benefits that you
are entitled to from the VA.
Most of the Veterans or spouses that we see are not aware of these.
Some of the men and women that we see served 20 or more year’s
active duty and are not aware of changes in the VA system that may
benefit them. Recently we helped a 22 year Navy veteran receive a 2600.
Per month increase. I guess that about covers last weeks’ news.
