Another record was set Last Thursday in Goldsby with 111 Men and women stopping by for
assistance with their VA claims and questions. I want to publicly Thank the Goldsby
town hall folks for providing a place for our Veterans to meet. I also
want to thank Libby and her staff for the individual attention that each
of these heroes receive during our weekly luncheon.
Without the help of everyone involved in this endeavor our success
would not be possible. Our Veteran
of the week was from Wewoka, A.B. and his wife
provided lunch for 88 of us at Libbys. We encourage everyone who has been in
the military active duty, reserve, National Guard or widows to stop by
for information on benefits that they may be entitled to. There were 36
new claims for benefits filed last week and 75 others who were followed
up from previous claims. Our staff continues to grow with the number of
men and women who need assistance.
Last week we provided rides for 5 Veterans for their rating
appointments and we were able to pay for food for one family. We also
provided funds for medical expenses for a veteran. If you would like to
support our cause stop by and we will find a job for you. The Veteran who
drove the longest distance was from Atoka. We continue to be very
successful helping our Veterans to receive the benefits that they earned
while in the military.
